Justin Nyberg is staff editor at Outside magazine. He has written for a number of publications and websites, including Outside, Details, Travel + Leisure, Trail Runner, Windsurfing and various newspapers and regional publications.

Nyberg is an associate editor at Outside, and TKeditor of Outside’s Buyers Guide. At Outside, he edits the Bodywork fitness section, and the Essentials product review section.

Previously, Nyberg was a reporter for the San Francisco Examiner, covering regional transportation, education, courts, county and local government. His coverage included investigative, breaking news, and human interest features.

Nyberg graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature, and focus in creative writing.

Nyberg specializes in outdoor recreational topics, gear and product reviews, and health and fitness coverage. Nyberg is also a  competitive distance runner, backcountry skier, mountain biker, and MRA-certified search and rescue volunteer.

He is based in Santa Fe, NM.
